I share my story for the people who can't share and for the parents who may feel shame and stigma. I also share for the people who have abortions more than once. My hope is that they read my stories and feel that they aren't alone.

Abortion Advice: You the author of your life and you decide your story. Never let any person be it family and definitely strangers that don't know your life shame you into becoming a parent when you're not ready. If you're making this choice more than once, I'm proud of you.

What I wish people knew about abortion: People who have abortions aren't all sad and a lot of us are happy we were able to have the option. People have abortions for many different reasons and every reason is a good one.

What is your favorite abortion in film? Last American Virgin...only because Gary was so caring and helped Karen get through it so she wouldn't be alone after Rick was an asshole to her.

Women Of Color Speak Out Against The Whitewashing Of Reproductive Justice

Recently, the New York Times published a feature about the racial and generational divide in the reproductive health and justice movements. The article focused on the ways in which Black and Brown women and non-binary people are excluded from prevailing narratives around the fight to protect Roe, while ignoring the very urgent and intersecting issues that affect their lives. I was one of the women interviewed and, after the piece was published, I found that much of the backlash was defensive; many people painted me and the young women of color interviewed as out of touch with the feminist movement, instead of embracing the opportunity in intersectional approached.

39 Abortion Stories Show Just How Important Abortion Access Is

On January 2, 39 GOP Senators signed an AMICUS brief urging the Supreme Court to reconsider Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court case that secured the legal right to abortion. In the brief, these senators, along with 168 Republican members of the House, asked the sitting Supreme Court Justices to revisit and overturn Roe v Wade when they consider a case based on a Louisiana law that could severely limit access to abortion in the state.
