I share my story because it's the best way to connect to someone's heart. When I needed an abortion, I didn't know of many other people who had been through what I was going through. I share my story to help people feel less alone and to remind them that they are worthy of love and compassion—no matter what. <3

Abortion Advice: Reach out to the people you can trust who you know will respect and support your decision. I hesitated to reach out because of the internalized stigma that *I* was projecting onto others who ultimately wished they could have been there for me.

How I honor my abortion: I honor my abortion and miscarriage by giving myself grace each time my feelings shift around my experience. Each time I share my story, my feelings evolve a little and that's okay.

What I wish people knew about abortion: As we go through life and develop a deeper understanding of how abortion affects our life—even years or decades later—our feelings around our experiences can evolve and change. That nuance is part of what makes abortion so unique and powerful.
