I share my stories because abortion is normal and common. I want others having abortions to know that they are far from alone.

Abortion Advice: Set aside some time after your abortion to take care of yourself physically and emotionally. Abortion stigma is everywhere, and because of this stigma, sometimes people feel ashamed after an abortion. Remind yourself that you did nothing wrong! 

How I honor my abortions: I honor my abortions by being open about having them. I don't shy away from conversations and am always happy to answer questions. 

What I wish people knew about abortion: I wish people know how common it is for people to have had more than one abortion! 

What is your favorite abortion story on TV?
I love Xiomara's abortion in Jane the Virgin. Although the abortion didn't happen on screen, it was treated pretty casually. Many depictions of abortion in the media include a really torn, emotional pregnant character. For many of us, the decision to have an abortion is simple and easy.
